Tasmania: a Visual Journey is currently being printed and is due to arrive just before Christmas (it would make a great pressie). As a contributor I have 100 copies to sell – which will be signed by me and include a free postcard! To pre-order your own copy, email me now at info @ claireneedham.com (without the spaces) before they all go!!
Please stay tuned for details of the book launch. for more information and a preview please click here.
I have a few more images available in my greeeting card range now. You can see the current list at my Facebook page.
Its a bit of a slow process at the moment, testing out different print companies, but I hope to have more added in the next few months. You can help by going here and liking your favourites. I had a competition which is now closed, but your ‘likes’ will help me pick future cards 🙂
I have been a bit slack with updating the blog 😦
But I can tell you what I’ve been shooting; some portrait work for a local metal band, toddler portraiture, live band shots, wilderness shots near Collins Cap, snow shots at the springs, rainy streetscapes …and I have a wedding coming up next week!! I love the variety of shooting different styles and types of photography.
In 3 more sleeps I’ll be heading back up to Cradle Mt and the Vale of Belvoir. I’m quite excited as I have a newer/better camera and tripod this time and a nice filter to play with. Hopefully the weather will be less crazy, only a few days back I heard tourists had been stranded as it had snowed down to 400m and the roads were closed! I also have some new walking/camping gear…as long as the gear doesn’t get wet it should all be good.
It is my great pleasure to have some work in local gallery, set up by a dear friend of mine. Please do check it out if you are in the area. I managed to get along for the opening night and snap off some shots for them. If the ‘white cube’ world of galleries is leaving you a bit stale, check them out for a different sort of art.
Cobweb Designs Gallery “…a place of Art, Jewellery, and the Esoteric.”
Cobweb Designs is now open in Cygnet opposite the Red Velvet Lounge.
Introducing my new business card
I have recently commenced working full-time on my photography business with the support of the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme. This is a fantastic opportunity for small businesses just starting out and I highly recommend it.
The April-June edition of Australian Geographic is now out with a great article on the Vale of Belvoir trip I did last year. Its great to get some photos published in a magazine I used to read as a child 🙂
More news shortly…
